Maria, our hostess, was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. She even got her husband to buy sandals for our friend with sore feet. She surprised us with delicious tomatoes from her garden. The BBQ organized by the manager and his wife was fantastic, with a great atmosphere and stunning views. The albergue had good wifi, washing facilities, and comfortable beds. The meadow by the river was perfect for relaxation. Breakfast at the bar across the road was delightful. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I loved staying at Albergue El Paso in Vega de Valcarce! I wanted a place to stay before starting my climb up to O Cebreiro the next morning, and this place was perfect. The hospitaleros treated everyone like family and the amenities were great. They have a kitchen, comfortable beds, a lovely garden with clothes lines and sun loungers, and even a cold stream to rest tired feet. The small bar with cold drinks was a bonus, and there are decent restaurants in the village. Couldn't have asked for a better place and will stay again.
Would recommend this hotel.
